Northern Ireland Housing Executive

Lowry Building & Civil Engineering were appointed by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive under a framework contract to deliver planned maintenance and improvement services for properties in throughout County Londonderry.

The works vary in scope and scale and involve the replacement and/or alteration of kitchens and bathrooms with all associated works including full strip out, demolition and internal structural alterations (building new internal walls etc.), 1st & 2nd fit joinery (skirting, architraves, internal doors etc), plumbing (installing new boilers & heating systems etc.) and electrical works (rewiring, fitting new sockets and light fittings etc.). The contract also requires comprehensive external cyclical maintenance which include (but are not limited to) roofing works, replacing windows and doors, render to walls, driveways and footpaths, drainage and fencing works.

All works are completed in a variety of building types such as bungalows, two storey semi-detached, detached and terraced houses and also high rise flats. In many cases the properties are often occupied and works are undertaken in full consideration of the occupants with careful planning and phasing to minimise disruption.
