This role demands a competent and enthusiastic Surveyor to manage cost aspects of current and upcoming projects the both building, civils and framework contracts.

Responsibilities include:

Expected to take responsibility for project costing
Cost reporting across different works on a monthly basis, depending on sector
Building/Civils/MTC
Sub-contractor procurement
Organise and manage subcontract settlements
Identify risks with project team
Provide support for any contract issues on project
Attendance at monthly progress meetings
Management of costings and valuations using various MTC framework schedule of rates

Criteria:

Ideally will have a professional qualification or degree in Quantity Surveying
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role, ideally working within PSA/MTC schedule of rates
Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site
Full, clean driving licence
Good communication and time / resource management skills
IT literate
Strong working knowledge of contract documents, construction practices & techniques
Ability to interpret & make calculations based on drawings
