QUANTITY SURVEYOR
This role demands a competent and enthusiastic Surveyor to manage cost aspects of current and upcoming projects the both building, civils and framework contracts.
Responsibilities include:
- Expected to take responsibility for project costing
- Cost reporting across different works on a monthly basis, depending on sector
- Building/Civils/MTC
- Sub-contractor procurement
- Organise and manage subcontract settlements
- Identify risks with project team
- Provide support for any contract issues on project
- Attendance at monthly progress meetings
- Management of costings and valuations using various MTC framework schedule of rates
Criteria:
- Ideally will have a professional qualification or degree in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role, ideally working within PSA/MTC schedule of rates
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site
- Full, clean driving licence
- Good communication and time / resource management skills
- IT literate
- Strong working knowledge of contract documents, construction practices & techniques
- Ability to interpret & make calculations based on drawings
