QUANTITY SURVEYOR

This role demands a competent and enthusiastic Surveyor to manage cost aspects of current and upcoming projects the both building, civils and framework contracts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Expected to take responsibility for project costing
  • Cost reporting across different works on a monthly basis, depending on sector
  • Building/Civils/MTC
  • Sub-contractor procurement
  • Organise and manage subcontract settlements
  • Identify risks with project team
  • Provide support for any contract issues on project
  • Attendance at monthly progress meetings
  • Management of costings and valuations using various MTC framework schedule of rates

 

Criteria:

  • Ideally will have a professional qualification or degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role, ideally working within PSA/MTC schedule of rates
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Good communication and time / resource management skills
  • IT literate
  • Strong working knowledge of contract documents, construction practices & techniques
  • Ability to interpret & make calculations based on drawings
