Omagh Community Fire Station

Constructed on the site of redundant government premises this state-of-the-art Community Fire Station & District Headquarters represents a £4.4 million investment by Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue service, procured by Health Estates Investment Group, creating a new identity for NIFRS and a new piece of civic architecture for the Omagh area.

The new facility houses a six fire-fighting appliance bay alongside incident command, training, administration, vehicle maintenance and community education facilities, and the training yard includes a bespoke training tower for working at heights, animal rescue and specialist road rescue training facilities.

The visionary design incorporates curved and asymmetric structural steel construction, red Kalzip roofing system and extensive coloured glass facade, creating a landmark building in central Omagh. Bespoke Hormann sectional automatic appliance bay doors and Geargrid specialised uniform drying system are only some of the innovative technologies used
